Peachi ere: Below is a collection of Melancholy music I have got together from a winter of wallowing in my own misery... boohoo! ;) Nothing like a sad song or two to get you through the bad weather. So it's not really a mix but more of a collection of music based on a mood with some faded transitions. The main aim is to communicate a feeling and to have a ready made collection for when the world seems big and you might want to get off it. I think it just helps to listen to sad music when you're down... GO ON wallow in it and get it out your system ;)Download it here - be careful of the adverts and just click on the start download link! ...or just play below.
My favourite parts are the opeing track "World Keeps Spining On" by the Weepies, which was used in this beautiful animation "Thought of You". Also included are two pairs of tracks from two of my favourite films (see track listing below). The first pair are from "Once" and they helped win it an Oscar for best original soundtrack. The second pair are from "Into the Wild" which is a tragic yet uplifting story of a guy trying to get away from society and reconnect with nature - the voice on the tracks is Eddie Vedder from Pearl Jam and they generally express a discontent with society and a yearning for a simpler existence. Great lyrics if you listen to them properly.
